Birthright Israel provides the gift of first time, peer group educational trips to Israel for thousands of Jewish young adults (ages 18 – 26) from all over the world. Birthright Israel’s founders created this program in order to strengthen the bond between Israel and Jewish communities around the world; to reinforce the sense of solidarity among world Jewry; and to enhance participants’ personal Jewish identity and connection to the Jewish people.
The gift of a Birthright Israel trip is made possible thanks to the generous support from many sources, including parents of trip participants, alumni of the program, the program’s founders and other philanthropists, the Government of Israel, the Jewish Federation system, Keren Hayesod, the Jewish Agency for Israel and thousands of individuals donors from around the world who believe in our mission.
Each year, the Birthright Israel Foundation of Canada provides the gift of a ten-day educational trip to thousands of Jewish young adults. The experience offers young Jews from all over Canada a chance to form firsthand connections to the land of Israel and to their Jewish identity. With your help, we can continue giving this extraordinary gift to future generations.
In Canada, Birthright Israel is funded through partnerships with local Jewish Federations, individual donors to the Birthright Israel Foundation of Canada and the Government of Israel.
The Birthright Israel Foundation of Canada’s mission is to build and expand financial support to ensure that the gift of Birthright Israel will be available to more and more Canadian Jewish young adults today and for generations to come.
