The Application | A step by step guide once registration opens
WHERE AND HOW DO I APPLY?
You can sign up to be pre-registered for summer 2019 today! This will give you a step up ahead of everyone else on opening registration day on January 28, 2019
Summer registration will open on January 28, 2019. CLICK HERE to get started.
This will direct you to the Birthright Israel homepage where you will complete the first step of the primary application. Once full registration opens (you will be notified), you can complete ALL sections of the application.
As part of your primary application, you will be asked to choose a trip organizer and a trip option. Your trip organizer is “Canada Israel Experience” You can preview the trip options we will offer by going clicking HERE.
Please Note: early sign up will not guarantee you a spot for our upcoming trips, this is only a pre-registration form and to get priority status. In order to be considered eligible for our summer trips, once registration fully opens, you must complete the first sections of your application including paying your $300 CAD refundable deposit. You will receive a reminder email to do so.
WILL I NEED TO SUBMIT ANY FORMS?
Yes – you will need to upload your valid passport, enter your friend request and important medical information.
If accepted to a trip, you will need to complete a Doctor’s Medical Form.
If accepted to a trip and travelling to Toronto/Montreal via air, or train or bus, you are eligible to receive a partial Travel Reimbursement towards your domestic travel.
Click here to access the Doctor’s Medical Form and the Travel Reimbursement Form.
A valid passport is one that expires a minimum of 6 months after your return date (for example, if you return from Israel on June 15, 2019, your passport must expire no earlier than December 15, 2019). This is non-negotiable and is an airline policy, not a Canada Israel Experience policy. Please ensure that your passport is in good condition. Worn or torn pages can result in any airline refusing to accept a passport for travel.
WILL I NEED TO MEET WITH SOMEONE?
Yes, we want to get to know you. Once you complete your online application and pay your $300 refundable deposit, you will be contacted for a mandatory one-on-one conversation which will take place via phone with a CIE trained call centre agent. Every Birthright Israel: Canada Israel Experience applicant must successfully complete a one-on-one conversation in order to be considered for a trip.
HOW WILL I BE CHOSEN?
